Which is the Best CBD Product for Me?

At Doctor Herb, we care about making sure our customers have access to the CBD products that are best for them. If it is your first time buying from us, or even if you want to change it up a bit, we know it can be difficult to decide what product to go for. That’s why we’ve done the research for you!

While it has been found that ingesting CBD will have a calming effect whether it is smoked, vaped or eaten, there are some things to consider when deciding on the method that is right for you. We have created a list of the specific effects of each of our products, so that you can decide for yourself. Here’s what we found.

Smoking- CBD Flowers and Resin

Inhaling CBD is one of the fastest ways to feel the plant’s effect. CBD quickly absorbs into the bloodstream and is then carried from your lungs directly to your brain. Effects are generally felt within 30 seconds. This also means that the effects can feel stronger. The process is so direct that there is little opportunity for your body to filter out any of the CBD. The effects of smoking CBD flowers or resin tend to last for 30-60 minutes. If you want to have a longer lasting result, you will have to smoke more regularly.

Do smoke CBD flowers or resin if you want an immediate, relatively strong result.

Don’t smoke CBD flowers or resin if you want a slower, more long-lasting effect.

Vaping- CBD Oils

Studies have shown that CBD is best absorbed when it is vaporised. This is because vapour absorbs into your lungs better than smoke. Inhaling CBD by vaping therefore allows your body to absorb the highest percentage of CBD from the amount you have bought. There is also research that indicates that vaping CBD helps people to quit smoking.

Do vape with CBD oils if you prefer not to inhale smoke or if you want to the best bioavailability.

Don’t vape with CBD oils if you prefer a more natural experience.

Eating- CBD Edibles

For CBD in edibles to be effective, it needs to be ground and decarboxylated. This activates the cannabinoids, which slowly absorb into your body as you digest the food. Effects will be felt for about 2-3 hours. The result of ingesting CBD through edibles will be less strong than inhaling the cannabinoids through smoking or vaping. This is because the CBD is being absorbed gradually, rather than all at once.

Do eat CBD edibles if you want a more long-lasting result.

Don’t eat CBD edibles if you want a stronger, more immediate effect.
