Research work in Texas has shown that the plant has a beneficial effect on tumours in mice and horses although these studies have not been duplicated in humans. Aloe also has antibacterial and antifungal properties.

for the treatment of atonic constipation and suppressed menstruation. For this reason it
should not be taken during pregnancy.
